We are is looking for a hands-on Security Engineer to keep information safe and eliminate risks across our customer’s products and internal systems. This individual will collaborate with our customer’s Lead Security Engineer and engineering team to ensure the services are well vetted and maintained. The Senior Security Engineer will be technically savvy, a strong multitasker and be one step ahead to ensure consistent coverage and eliminate any room for vulnerabilities.

Work time zone: US (remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Performs risk analysis to identify internal and external threats.
  • Understand how the vulnerability presents risk to the organization and partner with the engineering team to resolve them in the most efficient way.
  • Provides security systems technology support with regards to the installation and maintenance of security technologies and tools.
  • Provides systems support with respect to building or improving systems security.
  • Maintains corporate security procedures and develops and provides regular security training.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts investigations of alleged and suspected computer crimes.
  • Fosters security vendor relationships to ensure effective and efficient supplier performance results.
  • Works independently to ensure goals set by leadership are reached.
  • Triages and remediates security reports.
  • Develops security related training and education for the company management and employees.
  • Maintains all required business controls elements of the security program and participates in the audit process for assigned areas of responsibility.

Skills & Requirements:

  • At least 4 years experience in corporate security.
  • Substantial experience in establishing and enhancing a vulnerability management program first on production vulnerabilities.
  • Snyk, Crowdstrike and SUMO expertise required. 
  • Security Operations Knowledge: Experienced in alert triage, investigation, and response using EDR, XDR, and SOAR solutions.
  • Automation & Integration: Skilled in integrating security tools with CI/CD pipelines and automating remediation workflows. 
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Works closely with DevOps, IT, and SOC teams to resolve vulnerabilities efficiently. 
  • Threat Intelligence Awareness: Stays informed on emerging threats, exploits, and security best practices. 
  • Strong Communication: Effectively translates security risks for technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Drives security enhancements and process optimizations. 
  • Experience with vendor security assessments / TPRM.
  • Process oriented to establish a structured vulnerability management process (repeat-able).
