The project centers around building a backend integration layer that enables secure, real‑time exchange of prescription and order data between pharmacy systems, fulfillment partners, and payment providers. The goal: automate and streamline prescription transfers across multiple systems while maintaining strict HIPAA/PHI compliance, and ensuring scalability, observability, and operational resilience in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-ready Golang microservices and REST APIs

• Implement secure authentication, error handling, and fulfillment logic

• Build and manage Kafka-based event-driven data pipelines

• Define API contracts (REST, webhooks) and ensure external alignment

• Deploy services via GitLab CI/CD pipelines into AWS environments

• Set up observability tooling (Grafana, Kibana, alerts, runbooks)

• Collaborate across architecture, QA, and product teams to deliver resilient solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience with strong hands-on Golang skills

• Solid grasp of microservices, concurrency, and scalable backend design

• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)

• Familiarity with RESTful API design and secure system integration

• Proficiency with cloud deployments (AWS) and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI)

• Knowledge of observability practices: logging, metrics, tracing

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional remote teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI)

• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure as code

• Exposure to Python for scripting or integration
