Senior Android Engineer

Tech Stack:

• Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Android SDK, Android Jetpack libraries, Compose, MVVM, Android Studio, Hilt, Git, GraphQL, Analytics, A/B Testing

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, efficient, and testable code.
• Maintain existing code by fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and refactoring outdated code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, marketing, data, and analytics) to ensure decisions are aligned.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and performant features and platform architectures.
• Own, create, review, and provide feedback on technical design proposals and proofs of concept.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Android codebase.
• Collaborate with team members to learn and grow.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of overall software development experience, including 3+ years in native Android development.
• Proficiency in Android frameworks, Jetpack libraries, Kotlin, object-oriented design principles, and clean architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Android API levels, emerging mobile technologies, and architectural trends.
• Experience with architecture patterns like MVVM and MVI, and the ability to design custom patterns as needed.
• Strong communication skills to effectively share ideas with diverse teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and determine technical direction to solve business problems.
• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to achieve goals.
• A drive to continuously learn, improve, and elevate application quality.

Nice to Haves:

• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with building and consuming GraphQL queries.
• Good experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience publishing one or more non-trivial mobile apps on the Google Play Store.
